Ahh, Venice

Venice was beautiful. We had only 3/4 of a day there, but we made the best of it. We took a vaporetto, went to St. Mark's Square, Fiari Church, took a gondola ride, and wandered around on the tiny litlte cobble stone streets finding souveniers and delicious house red wine.

We thought Venice was so pretty -- the houses, the water, the colors, everything.

Our first tourist stop was St. Mark's. It was really pretty, but super busy and under renovation. It didn't leave us with a calm, ahhh Venice type of feeling, but we still appreciated it.


This is happy Kathi -- a little gelato in a sunny St. Mark's Square.

We took a gondola ride in the afternoon. This was a lovely way to spend an hour. So romantic, so educational, so pretty.

Our gondolier was a cutie, and full of interesting information.


We loved the novelty of this -- an ambulance boat hauling ass on the grand canal.

We loved the pretty little bridges around every corner.

Our hotel was so pretty and fancy.
