We went to Uncle John's Cabin and Josh was in 7th heaven. He got sooooo dirty! John's dog Maggie has a swim pool to keep her cool, which Josh thought was for him alone. He got wet, then noticed all the dirt, so he was a muddy mess immediately!
Here's what we like to call The Hose Sequence. He was figuring out the joys of a water hose when all of the sudden it got away from him. Poor kid was scared of it and did not know what to do when he was soaking.
Instant disenchantment with the hose.
A trapped, panicked feeling.
Notice how straight his back is--clearly not happy!
And here, being comforted by his mommy, Josh is still quite sad after the hose encounter.
We went to Lawrence Park in Kalispell to let the dogs swim in the river.
Here are the boys dipping their toes in the cool river.
We have to have a lesson on River Safety! Josh kept wanting to walk down to the river, down the steep, rocky slope. Mommy says no no no. (again!)
The dogs swam their hearts out! Maggie is younger and much more spry than Sammy T. Sam managed to get a few of the sticks, but Maggie is our 4th of July Stick Fetching Champion.
