The Park

We took Joshy to the park across from our house on the morning before his birthday party. It turned out to be a pretty eventful trip--he had an incident on that damn slide and has a tiny hairline fracture on a foot bone. He's a tough kid, though, and has learned to walk on his knees and crawl around. All in all it hasn't really slowed him down much.

Here we are on the way to the park. I love his determined little walk. I also love that he will wear that hat and those sunglasses. He looks awesome, I think!


It took some coaxing for him to go down the slide. First Sammy tried.


Then Grampa Wright tried. He was sucessful, and they got to go down twice before the Accident.


Here is what we did after the urgent care visit. We followed doctors orders and held him, tried to keep the hurt leg elevated and love him up. At this point we didn't know if he had hurt his knee, ankle, bones, ligaments, or just what! At any rate, his spirits returend to normal later on that day, but we ahd a little while where he just needed to be held.
