Here is our private celebration of Josh's birthday. Kind of low key, or "intimate" if you want to class it up a bit.
He actually touched the flame. We didn't have time to sing happy birthday!
He is more interested in the candle than the cupcake.
He did not even have enough energy to finish his cupcake. When you're done, you're done. We expected a huge mess, so we stripped him before we fed him. That's what we get for thinking.
Another milestone for the day: his first skinned knee. He fell down at the Old Chicago patio, where we were celebrating his birthday grown up style. He was a trooper though--he was after rocks on the outside of the patio rail and he eventually got to the rocks, even if it cost him a little hide.
