The first thing we did was try to find some good chowder down on the bayfront. Well, we found good soup but we found a Great sign! In case you can't read it, it's the Barge Inn Tavern, home of winos, dingbats and riff raff. Who do you think we thought of as soon as we read this sign? (Grampa Wrong, that's YOU!)
With food in our tummy, we headed off to find the Yaquina Head Lighthouse. Even though it was overcast and kind of rainy, it was still beautiful.
Josh saw a tiny sparrow and chased it all over. I mean ALL over!
Rare family photo taken by some strangers.
We tried to teach him the international sign for lighthouse, but he only would touch his forehead. We think this is a cuter picture than the few that we got of the attempts.
We went down to the cobbly coast, and Josh was just loving that there were so many rocks. We threw a ton of rocks, but this one was his most ambitious selection by far. Can you just hear him grunting?
and last but not least, our strange little boy. He gets obsessed about having his Elmo diapers (which are for the day time and Mickey diapers are for night), and sometimes when he has the Mickey diapers on, he protests and tries to wrap the Elmo diapers around himself. Obsessively. I gave in and just strapped this one on the outside for him, just to kepe him quiet. Well who knew what kind of mood this would envoke. He became a silly monkey, hanging from door knobs, jumping on the bed, you name it. He's a funny little boy!
