At Long Last...

We were in Montana for ten days and did not have a way to update the blog with our pictures. Here is the drought-buster update.

Our trip started Nov 15 with flights to Kalispell so that we could attend my cousin Danny's funeral. We flew in on Thursday night and drove to Missoula on Friday night so it was a very short trip. At least we got to go to the funeral and pay our respects, and also got to play at Gramma and Grampa Wright's house.

Gramma and Grampa bought this tiny Huffy 12" bike when Josh was only about 6 months old. At last it's provided entertainment value worth far more than the price of the bike. When he finally figured out how to stand up he was shouting at us and pointing, kind of talking smack to us.

I think he looks like he's riding around on this thing. In truth, we pushed him around and he did his own pedals about three times. Still, he was really enjoying the whole bike thing!

Gramma and Grampa also have a great trike at their house. This is more a toy, say for your dolly to ride on, but Josh thought it was for him and him alone. He somehow got himself squeezed onto the seat, which was a feat in itself!

Here is the profile, again to show you what a contortionist the kid is.

Uncle John took Josh on a short but fun-filled 4-wheeler ride. Josh was not too sure about sitting on this machine, in fact he was crying when they started. But he got into it, and mid-ride John asked him if he was having fun, Josh said Yep and so they kept going!

Uncle John is building a house, so we went up to see it. It's muddy and cold, so we busted out the rain gear that I've been saving for such an occasion. This was his first experience in boots and he was not a big fan. Apparently he's not ready for ankle constraint. :)

Here is Joshy all dressed up and ready to go to the funeral. He was a very good boy at the services--waving and smiling at everyone he saw.

Bath time is so much fun. He is just getting into the fun of bubble bath. I would not normally post this picture, but the bubbles were right over his little privates so I figured why not.

We have to wear these Christmas jammies as often as we can--they are skin tight. He somehow thinks that sunglasses are very necessary inside the house at night. You can tell that he thinks he looks so cool!

Now we're getting ready for Thanksgiving Dinner. The poor kid had croup and was at the doctor/er on Tuesday afternoon. But the time this picture was taken, he was not eating and still had a fever. He looks like a Boy again in this picture. A sad one, but still not my baby.

We drove back home Saturday and Sunday and we stopped in Spokane for a trip to Cabelas and the mall. Josh thought Cabelas was very fun, with the trophy room and all. In the Spokane Mall they have a play area, which was just the ticket for Joshybear. He's in a giant snake, much to my dismay, and loving it!

He's so independent! He has not shown much fear of heights, other kids, etc at these play rooms (there was one in the Seattle airport too!), and I have to watch him really close to make sure he does not get hurt while he's pushing his limits.
