Grampa Wright, the man who hates to spend any money at all ever, was teaching Josh about coins for his piggy bank.
I love pictures of my dad smiling when he's playing with Josh.
The sand was a huge hit--I'd been dragging my feet getting sand in the sand box because it's so messy, but I see now that it really is what this boy needs.
Clearly a happy boy lives here. He kept loading his big Tonka truck with a tiny shovel or his tiny tractor and saying HARD WORK every time he loaded it or dumped it. Yes, Joshy, life is all about hard work. Ha ha ha
On Saturday, we all went down to Bend to watch Madagascar 2. This was Josh's first movie and we were all ready for certain disaster, but he was an angel. He got his own seat, his own popcorn/candy/drink tray, and sat there for about 3/4 of the movie. The rest of it he sat on my lap. He never made a peep! (Well, at one point in the movie it looked a bit perilous and he said OH NO!, but that doesn't really count.)
Token family picture. :
